Stella wants a treat.....

"Mommy, I would like a treat. I will sit very nicely for it too."

"Are you just going to ignore me down here? Seriously, I want a treat!"

"I will even show you where they are, just in case you forgot. See? Right there!"

"Just put one down on the floor and I will be a happy lady!"

"This is just torture!!"

Just a quick note to let you know that we at the Whitworth household have passed a monumental milestone.

Stella has passed the 100 lbs mark this week!

We changed nom-noms this week to a different brand to possibly help with some....poo problems. Everything seems to be going well so far! Its easier to change food since Stella's such a foodie! She'll eat anything! :)

This is an ode to those we've loved and lost....

This post is dedicated to those friends who, through possibly some fault of my own, have had some misfortunes.

First, is Lovey. Lovey has been with me from the very beginning. Mommy and Daddy had her in the car with me on the way back to my forever home. This is me on one of my first days with Lovey.

This is Lovey now. After countless surgeries and head/limb/tail reattachment surgeries, Lovey finally had to be "put to pasture". I will miss her.

Lovey: 11/08-6/09. Friend, playtoy, snuggle buddy.

Next is Moe. I had Moe for less than a week. Moe used to be a giraffe. This is Moe now.

I say, "What's wrong with having more than one?"

Thirdly is my Wubba. I don't have an "after" picture of wubba, but let's just say there is no more top tennis ball on the wubba anymore. Mommy got me another one, but that was also gone that night. :)

Lastly is Mr. Mister, my turtle. He has been MIA for a couple weeks for what Mommy calls "medical leave". This is how I will always remember him!

Times are getting desperate in the house of Whitworth. I'm starting to play with my own limbs! It's not fun!

Anyone have any suggestions for a new snuggle buddy? Otherwise, I might have to start on Mommy's shoes...she will not be happy!

And just a little side note from Stella's mommy. I was looking through baby Stella pictures last night and came across these. I forget how little she was! My big girl is growing up!!

January 2009: 3 1/2 months, about 35 lbs
March 2009: 5 months: 50 lbs

June 2009: 7 months: 90 lbs (notice my new "big girl collar"! Mommy and Daddy first bought it when they first got me. It could wrap around my neck twice when I was a baby. Now it fits! :) )

Stella out!

My friends and family!!

This is my good friend Andy. Andy works with Daddy on television here in Lexington. Mommy and Daddy call him their "adopted son" because he likes to come over and have dinner with them.
Unfortunately, Mommy and Daddy don't let me have any of the food that they have, but I still enjoy chewing on my rawhide, or what Daddy and Mommy affectionately call my "squid".

Andy and I are great friends. I love it when he comes over cause he gives me lots of pets and kisses.
We even like to be silly with each other!

I love my Andy!

I am Daddy's big girl!

I love lounging with Mommy!

I love our family!

In other news, I went to the vet yesterday and I got on the scaley and it said I weighed 77lbs. The nice receptionist Claire said I was so well-behaved because I sat like such a good lady while Daddy and Mommy were talking to the nurses!

My puppy class is a lot of fun. There's about 7 puppies in my class. They seem really nice and I can't wait to get to know them more. There was one doggie there that had been in the puppy class 3 times now because he hadn't learned how to be quiet. Sometimes it was hard to hear the nice lady because he was so noisy! Sometimes I didn't listen to what Mommy and Daddy had to say cause I was listening to the puppy talk. I will try harder next time to listen to them instead of Kramer!

Hope everyone is having a good day!!

Just a quick note....

Mommy and Daddy are taking me to my first puppy obedience class tonight! I hope I can meet lots of other cute and adorable puppies just like me!! Mommy will have to post later on my progress!
We are sorry for the lack of pictures lately. Mommy and Daddy lost their picture snapper and they haven't been able to get a new one yet. We had Daddy's friend come over for dinner and he and I like to pretend we are supermodels together, so we will post some pictures from then laters.
Hope everyone is having a good week!

Stella happenings...

Hello four legged world! Sorry I haven't been able to be online for awhile. It's been such nice weather here that Mommy and Daddy have been taking me lots of different places with them. I met a new friend at the doggy park named Dooley. She's a 5 month old black lab, same age as me. Grant it, even though we're the same age, she can walk underneath me and not even touch my belly! Small fry! :) Dooley likes to play bitey face, and with the tips and tricks that I learned from Gus and Waldo, I was playing like a champ in no time! Daddy said I've made such an improvement at the doggie park since the first time we went! I'm getting braver and braver every time!
I probably won't be on here for a couple of days. Mommy and Daddy are taking me to the vet tomorrow to have belly surgery. Mommy says I will be her little it instead of her little girl after tomorrow. Hmm...I wonder what she means by that??
Hopefully I won't be down and out too long!! Too many things to sniff and explore, especially with the weekend coming up soon!
I hope everyone is doing well! We'll see you in a couple of days!

Quizzys

I was tagged by my big friend Mango to tell you 10 honest things about myself.

1. I really like to snuggle. If you sit on the floor, that means you are in my territory and you want to snuggle too. The best types of snuggle are when I am sitting on you. Be aware when you come to our house.

2. I am a lazy butt. Mommy works during the day, so I go to bed early with her at night. Daddy works nights, so he sleeps in during the day. That is normally when I get my best sleepys in because I have half the bed to myself while daddy is snoring away. None of this "floor sleeping" for me!

3. While daddy and I are having said "sleepy time", I like to army crawl up to the top so that I'm laying on his pillow. Hey, he says its comfy, why shouldn't I get in on that action?

4. One of my favorite toys is "Lovey", my blue stuffed doggie. Mommy has had to perform emergency surgery on Lovey many times because she has fallen apart in the wash. Just last week she had to have "re-capitation" surgery. I was very happy when she was back.

5. After I get a bath, Mommy and Daddy towel dry me off. After said towel drying, I like to make sure I tell the towel who is boss by carrying it around the house for awhile.

6. I really like getting in the car to go for a ride with Mommy and Daddy. I really don't like getting OUT of the car, which means Mommy and Daddy sometimes have to give me a gentle tug (read: push/pull) out of the car nearly 99% of the time.

7. If I see a sock on the floor, it has now become the property of Stella. Mommy and Daddy like to try and take them from me, but I will always have the upper hand!

8. I have been woken up many times by mommy and daddy laughing at me. Something about snoring. It doesn't bother me any, so I don't know what they're talking about.

9. I really like little kids. Mommy and Daddy don't have any kids (except for me of course), but the house I was at before my forever home had 3 little girls that I liked to play with. Everytime I see kids at the dog park or walking around our complex, I just have to go up and say hi.

10. I have recently learned to crawl up in the front seat in Mommy's car. Sometimes I get my back half stuck. Mommy says it has something to do with my "junk in my trunk". I don't know what that means. All I know is that I like to be close to Mommy and Daddy when they're driving. The backseat gets lonely!

Hope you enjoyed! I will now tag.......Gus and Waldo, Khyra, Maggie and Mitch, and Abby.
